Family Mission - The Mission of Submission

In today's culture, publically declaring Ephesians 5:22 “Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord” would probably not be responded to with an enthusiastic Amen. On the contrary, negative reactions ranging from dismissal to outrage are more likely to occur. Why then is this command given to wives and expanded upon in verses 23 & 24? Isn't this something that could cause strain in a marriage, and is God not concerned about a husband and wife being happy in their marriage? As always context must guide us in understanding the meaning of these verses, from which we find that the center of the context is Christ.
