The Gift of Being Known

The Gift of Being Known
The message emphasizes the profound importance of a deep, personal relationship with God, characterized by a willingness to be known and examined by Him. Drawing from passages like Psalm 139, Psalm 19, Isaiah 6, Galatians 4:9 and 3:11, and Psalm 119:155 — the teaching highlights the transformative power of surrendering to God's scrutiny, recognizing that true knowledge of Him involves a willingness to be tested, refined, and conformed to His image. The message encourages a life of intentional seeking, where individuals open themselves to God's work, recognizing that this vulnerability leads to a deeper understanding of His will and a greater ability to speak for Him in a world desperately needing His truth.

The Tenderness of Being Known
When you truly love someone—your spouse or your children—you recognize their voice, cry, and tone. A mother knows the difference between a child's cry for attention and a cry of distress. Love sharpens hearing. The same is true in our relationship with the Lord.

This is not ignorance on God's part—as though He doesn't know everyone—but the intentional surrender of the servant's heart to be fully open before Him. To be known by God is to lay down defenses, excuses, and masks, inviting Him to search and expose everything.

David models this in Psalm 139:23–24:
"Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my anxieties; and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."
