Lot's Tragic End

Lot, the nephew of Abraham, who made one bad choice after another, is finally brought to a place where he sees the consequences for living after the flesh. Lot not only lived in Sodom, Sodom lived in Lot! In the end, the message of Genesis 19 is less about Sodom sin than it is about Lot's love of Sodom. Sure, God was there to destroy Sodom and all it stood for. Of this, there is no controversy. However, the real message is what Sodom meant to Lot--a believer who had been sucked into the carnal quicksand of Sodom.
