The Mosaic Covenant - Part 1

After God redeems Israel by bringing them up out of the land of Egypt, he enters into a covenant with them. While God condescends and promises blessing, the Mosaic covenant is contingent on Israel's obedience. Israel must obey God's law in order to enjoy life and blessing in the land. This temporal covenant serves the eternal and points ahead to Christ who bestows blessings, not because of our merits, but because of His merits.
