Where Is Life?

The Bible is clear in John 3:8 – we are born of the Spirit. Again, in John 6:63 – it is the Spirit who gives life. But then, in the very same verse we are told – the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. Add to that what is perhaps most clear from the Bible – Jesus is life. John 14:46, I am… the life. So how are we to understand this?
