Main Point
In Christ you have new life through the eternal word; by His grace, grow up into your salvation.
If you are a Christian, you have been born again (v. 23a)
The instrument of your rebirth is the eternal word of God (v. 23b-25 with Isaiah 40:6-8)
As one who has been born again, love your brothers and sisters (v. 22)
As one who has been born again, put off all malice (2:1)
As one who has been born again, long for spiritual maturity (2:2-3 with Psalm 34:8)
