How the New Man Lives

Dearly beloved congregation of our Lord Jesus Christ, we continue this morning to look at how we ought to walk, based on the reality that in Christ we have received every spiritual blessing. If you are united to Christ and part of the growing church, how should you walk that out? Last week we saw the general principle of putting off the old man, the person you used to be, and putting on Jesus Christ such that you become a new person, a new creation, remade to display God’s righteous, holy image. Today, Paul fleshes that out with six descriptions of how the new man lives. If you have really and truly left behind your old life, then you will practice the gospel reality of forgiveness in Christ by replacing evil practices with good ones.
