A Kangaroo Court Conviction of Christ

Why do wicked men feel the need to retain a thin veneer of judicial legitimacy, even while they carry out the greatest injustice? It is because the hearts of sinners have been stamped with the Law of God. The conscience requires them to do right. Therefore, they must dress up their wickedness in moral garb in order to make themselves feel right, even when they do wrong. So it was with the kangaroo court proceeding in which Jesus was tried.
