Pointing to Calvary

The imposing altar of brass that Hiram of Tyre built for the Temple provided a constant testimony to the worshippers that there was only one way to the acceptance by God and that was through the blood of the sacrifice. The altar spoke of the necessity of redemption by blood and drew the attention of all to the great work that Christ would accomplish on the cross.
