To obey is better than sacrifice

As Isaiah adressed the people of Judah he rebuked them for not knowing or considering God... and yet these were people faithful in their attendance at the temple, careful about their sacrifices, devoted in their worship and prayers. What could have been wrong? In a day when the Church puts so much stock on its worship Isaiah's message is an urgently and timely one.
