Hear the Word of the Lord (video)

The cultural religion of our day speaks of "accepting Jesus." The New Testament describes coming to Christ as "call" or "calling." It is not an invitation but a summons. It is definite and effectual. Jesus spoke of the summons in Mark 3:13, saying, "He called unto Him whom He would, and they came." Peter learned from his personal interaction with Christ and said on the day of Pentecost, "the promise is...to as many as the Lord our God shall call."
