Escaping a Dead-End Job

A good parallel to a dead-end job is the world of slavery. Paul deals with a worst-case scenario. If you doubt that Scripture understands your work situation, then you have misunderstood the natuer of slavery. This particular passage includes at least four clear steps that a person in a difficult work situation should attend to. He doesn't call for revolt. In fact, it is through these principles that slavery is destroyed at its core. This is not political, it is personal. Own your responsibility. Maintain your perspective--it is Christ you are serving.
