The Certainty of God's Judgments

False teachers have a corrupting influence on believers and the church by their conduct as well as their teaching. Often their ministries seem to flourish while those teachers who remain faithful to the Word of God struggle. It is not a new problem for God's people to be confronted by the prosperity of the wicked and their appearance of success.

Because of the danger of their influence, it becomes critical for the child of God to keep a proper perspective by remembering it is God's evaluation that matters, what His criteria is, and what are the appointed ends for the godly and ungodly.

Two basic points are being made by Peter. One, God does not spare the wicked. Second, God does deliver the righteous no matter who they are, where they are, how few they are.
These two simple points are eternally profound.
