Striving Toward the Goal

Introduction:

Theme: Jesus diligently pursued His purpose in life, which was the salvation of men and women. If we understand this truth, we will diligently pursue entering by the narrow gate/door.

1. Jesus diligently strives for His goal of salvation.

2. Jesus' diligent striving for this goal is due to His compassion.

3. Therefore, we are to strive to enter by the narrow gate.

4. Many will not strive (properly) and be left out, but some unlikely ones will enter.

5. The door of opportunity to pursue Jesus Christ will one day be closed completely.

6. The relevance that striving has for the Lord's Supper.
