The God of My Righteousness

It is through the name of Jesus that any person who is to be saved from their sins and have the gift of eternal life, comes to know God. King David knew this because he calls God, “The God of His righteousness" in the first verse of the Psalm that I just read to you. Now, why does he do this? He does this because God had become His God, not because of anything that David had done, to merit favor with God; but because God had imputed Christ’s righteousness to him when he put his faith in God.
