Why We Can Trust God-Eschatology -100 -The Great and High Mountain
Series Trusting God Eschatology
When we are overwhelmed with the difficulties of life, it often appears that He is not in control or His control is not taking things in a direction that we like or are comfortable living under. Since God intends that we walk by faith and not by sight we must know just Whom we are trusting in. Here we continue our study of what His plane is for this creation and the one to follow. When the Lord Jesus has brought every person that has ever lived under the authority given to Him, He will then turn the kingdom back to the Father. All things will be brought into submission to Him, and therefore to the Father as well. Then since the old creation has been dealt with perfectly in accordance with the will of the Father, it will be the “time”, to leave time, and to enter into eternity future, with the creation of the new heavens and the new earth. In the new heavens and the new earth there is a huge city called the heavenly Jerusalem which is the dwelling place of the bride of Christ. It is the place our Lord has prepared for His own bride and will reflect His glory. As we look to Him to fulfill His promise we are eagerly awaiting His imminent return. The great beauty of the city itself is nothing in comparison to the fact the God Himself will dwell among His people. The believers who have taken of the water of life are truly those who have overcome by the work of the Lord Jesus Christ. Here we turn our attention back to the place the our Lord has provided for His own, the holy city, Jerusalem. This Holy City will be on a high mountain in the new earth. This study is a comparison of the present temple mount of today and the great and high mountain of the New Jerusalem
