The Faith Delivered to the Church

Jude tells us that we are to "contend for the faith". What faith is this; there is saving faith, which without you cannot be saved; there is living faith, which every believer needs to walk by otherwise he cannot please God; and then there is the faith delivered to the churches. This is the faith that Jude is referring to. It is a system of doctrine given to all the Scriptural New Testament churches and that all of Christ's churches must abide by. Church doctrine is always under attack because it is God's Word and this is the faith that God commands us to contend for.
