Beginning and Ending by Faith

Can we be saved by grace and then stay saved by works? To answer this question, Paul poses some questions. How did we come to believe in Christ? What happened then? Can we get anywhere by changing the rules along the way and try to earn what was given as a gift? The Old Testament cannot be construed to suggest we should trust in what we can do to be right with God. Just the opposite. From the beginning it’s all been about trusting in God to justify us.
