Ministry in Athens - Part One
Series Acts Series
Once again the heralds of the gospel were forced to flee, this time out of Macedonia entirely. Some of the Berean brethren took Paul to the coast and sailed with him south toward Athens, leaving Silas and Timothy behind with orders to join Paul at Athens as soon as possible. During the ensuing days, Paul continued his pattern of reasoning with the Jews and proselytes in the synagogue, but he also went daily into the agora in order to witness to the Athenians he encountered there. Among those individuals were members of Athens' philosophical elite, and Luke's description of Paul's interaction with them provides the context for his later speech at the Areopagus.
