The Sanctifying Work of The Holy Spirit - #4

The 3rd activity of the Holy Spirit in the process of sanctifying the believer is found in (v.13) – where we're told that it is “BY (through) the Spirit,” that believers are responsible for “PUTTING TO DEATH the deeds of the body.”

We are to put to death—the sinful thoughts, attitudes, activities, and desires of our old (fleshly) nature. We have to put an end to all our old ways of sin... In the words of the Lord Jesus, (Mt 10:39) “He who finds his life will lose it, and he who LOSES HIS LIFE for My sake will find it.”
