God's Name Is to Be Hallowed by All... Even and Especially by His Chosen Leader(s)

As we continue our study of the Book of Numbers, we come to the event that will bar Moses from entering into the Promised land. He is given explicit commands and doesn't follow them.

I'm fairly confident that this passage takes place at the end of the 40 years of wilderness wandering. Moses and Aaron have grown weary... of the people's persistent complaining and remember they too have been in the wilderness these 40 years.
