Helping Hands, Winning Hearts, Consecrating Prayers
Series Prayer Meeting
The church wins souls, baptizes, proclaims the Word of God, fellowships together, remembers Christ's death at the Lord's Table, and loves one another (Acts 2:38-44).
The church of Antioch lent helping hands to Judea (Jerusalem) when famine came (Acts 11:27-30). It was a church with five talented preachers (Acts 13:1-2). As the Word of God went forth and multiplied in Jerusalem and other churches (Acts 12:24), the Holy Spirit commanded the church of Antioch to send Barnabas and Saul out as evangelists (missionaries).
This church's hands helped other believers; they determined to win the hearts of the lost abroad too (Acts 13:4-16)! They consecrated Barnabas and Saul to missionary service by their prayers (13:3).
We too should pray for those we send out, for those we have sent out, and for one another!
