Forgiveness (2)

Paul is not telling the church what is desirable but what is their duty. He is not wasting time giving mere advice.

The members of the church don't have the option whether they will forgive, be kind or tender-hearted or not. They are biblically and morally obligated to do so. However, forgiving isn't easy, don't presume that it is. For God to forgive sinners it was necessary that Christ Himself had to die.
