The Generosity of Christ

Aim: To understand that Jesus abundantly provides for His church.

Exegesis: Christ is generous in His concern for us. He cares about our sustenance (vv. 1-2) and vitality (v. 3). Christ is generous in His intercession for us. He mediates among men (vv. 4-5) and with God (vv. 6-7) for us. Christ is generous in His provision to us. His supply (v. 8) and influence (vv. 9-10) are super-abundant.

Key verse: v. 2 ''I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now continued with Me three days and have nothing to eat.''
