Identity and Testimony

Who is Jesus? This is the great question he raises with his disciples, and the answer is that he is the Messiah of God. The Law and the Prophets bear testimony to him, as does the Father; and his own authority bears witness also. Since he is a suffering Messiah, his followers must be prepared to suffer also, and not be taken up with dreams of worldly glory.
