Unhindered Preaching of Christ
Series Acts
As Dr. Luke ends the book of Acts, it is fascinating that he doesn't speak about Peter or Paul but about Christ. The central theme of Acts is proclamation and preaching. We see that for two years Paul was "preaching the Kingdom of God and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence, no one forbidding him." We are not told what happens to Paul after the two years but tradition tells us he was martyred.
We have some hints as to the effectiveness of Paul's time in Rome. For example, we see greeting being brought from the house of Caesar.
We see the high view of preaching and Paul preached all day. We are also reminded that a day of national blessing will come for the people of God.
We are challenged to be faithful and know that the Lord who turned the world upside down with 12 men can do the same today.
