God's Redeeming Love - Message 8 - They Cried Out, but Not to God - Hosea 7

When faced with the judgment of God for their sin, the people of Israel cry out for deliverance and help - but they do not call to the Lord! They seek deliverance from the consequences of their sin, but not from the sin itself, and so they call to their enemies, to Assyria and Egypt for relief for their suffering. How foolish to call to others for what only God can provide!

We see the prophet proclaim 4 word pictures that describe the people:

2. A half-baked cake
3. A senseless dove
4. A faulty bow
