Ministering By God's Grace
Series Romans series 2009
In the closing remarks to his letter to the Romans, the apostle Paul told them why he has written this letter elaborating on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He says he wrote to remind them of what he knew, they already knew. He emphasized it was the grace of God at work in his life and their lives as they too lived in pursuit of holiness and to please God.
He encouraged them by saying that there was evidence of the genuineness of their salvation being produced as they lived by the Spirit.
In his ministry, Paul set the example for all believers as he lived exhaustively and sacrificially, making every effort to maximize his use of the grace of God given him. In doing so he was essentially consumed with doing God's will. So should be the passion and obsession of every genuine believer – to do God's will dependent upon the grace He has supplied.
