Faith Wrought by the Word

I began to introduce this subject of Saving Faith in our first session by speaking of how the elect of God are enabled to believe by the working of God. That is, that a person's having saving faith is based upon God's creating faith in their heart, giving them a new heart and a new mind in regeneration. This is based on the grace which was given to them by the Father, through our Lord Jesus Christ. And grace is always given by God according to His individual elective purpose in relation to the gospel. Today we want to look at how faith is wrought in the sinner's heart by the preaching and sharing and reading of the word of God.
