Christ's Final Coming

Aim: To be found ready and waiting for our Lord's last advent.

Exegesis: The certainty of Christ's final coming: its reality (v. 31) and unpredictability (v. 32) is as sure as the Savior's word. The preparation for Christ's final coming is to include our diligence (v. 33), faithfulness (v. 34), and reverence (vv. 35-36). The universality of Christ's final coming: everyone will be affected by it (v. 37a), and everyone is to be ready for it (v. 37b).
