The Importance of the Life of Godliness

The profession of faith in Jesus Christ will bear evidence in the character and conduct of those genuinely saved. That evidence becomes the assurance of salvation and the fruitfulness of the indwelling Holy Spirit is displayed. The character qualities and the conduct so done necessitates the ongoing diligence of the believer to submit to the Spirit, apply ones self to obedience while growing in the knowledge of the Word of God, and setting oneself in opposition to the flesh and the world. By means of such diligence and determination therein is provided further separation and escape from the corruption of the world and consequences there of. As in the days of the original readers, so too today is the reminder needed for believers to live out who they are, are becoming, and will be in the future with Christ.
