▫ Not all sorrow is repentance.
▫ Evidences of godly sorrow include: diligence, re-earning trust/honor, indignation/renewed hatred of sin, vehement desire, zeal. These are the things that vindicate (justify or prove/declare true) the sorrow as godly and repentant.
