Sodom & Gomorrah: Judgment & Salvation

Abraham's concern for his nephew Lot in the impending judgment that he knew was about to befall Sodom and Gomorrah played out in ways he did not expect. God in mercy had to practically yank Lot out of the city to get him out before he destroyed it. God executed his righteous judgment but also delivered his own people by his gracious rescue - an example of what God will also do in the future. Until then we should "set our hand to the plow" and not look back at the allurements of the world but instead obey God wholeheartedly and warn others to "flee the wrath to come."
