The second message from this section; Since we don't know when the Lord's return is, we as the Lord's people must live in an alert and sober fashion, being what we are; a people resting on the promises of God, loving the Lord and each other, assured of our salvation in the Lord. In these things we must encourage each other so that we are not surprised.
