Here we examine the Confessional statement that address the solution to the sinner's insurmountable problem: the bondage of his will. After securing all the necessary elements for the salvation of the elect, The Sovereign is now determined to overcome the obstinate will of sinners by means of the Effectual Call. Paragraph 1 of Chapter 10 instructs us that the Call of God is:
Exclusively the work of God.
Instant and specific in its timing.
Unlimited in its power.
Limited in its scope.
Always dependent on the means of the Word of God, applied by the Spirit of God.
