The Day of Atonement

The Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur, was an annual day in which the High Priest would enter the Throne Room of the Garden Tent with the blood of animal sacrifices, to cover over the stain of sin on the priest, the people and the tabernacle furniture.
After which a goat would be sent away into the wilderness bearing the sins of the people.
