These days many people many people will use so-called texting language in their communications with each other. Whilst most abbreviations are not a problem, Pastor Chris Hand highlights how even here people take God's name in vain.

He suggests that such use of God's Name is a wrong use, and is thoughtless, indeed blasphemous. He goes on to ask the question - 'What are our thoughts of God?'

God's name is precious, and should not be used in a trivial way. We should check how we speak, and not get caught up in the use of wrong language and thinking.

If we hear someone misusing God's Name, pray for them, that they might know His Name and become aware who they are speaking of.
