Elijah Man of God, Man of Fire, Part 2

In the life of Elijah we see God building a Prophet for His purposes.

Elijah experienced persecution as well as God's gracious provision in his life.

Elijah had a burden for his nation and his prayers made a difference.

It is quiet possible that Jezebel had started her murderous campaign to kill God’s prophets by the time that the Lord tells Elijah to go to a brook that flowed into the Jordan.

At the Brook Elijah was fed by Ravens and then Elijah was moved by God to a widows house in enemy territory.

God used Unclean birds to bring clean food to sustain the life of God’s servant.

God knew exactly what Elijah needed and God made sure His deliveries were on time.

God was teaching Elijah to have daily dependence on God.

God could have got Camel loads of provision to Elijah, that would have lasted for weeks on end but he chooses to send ravens twice a day.

God builds his people by allowing circumstances to come into our lives that makes us dependant on Him.
