Infant Baptism
Series Westminster: Of the Church
Baptism began as part of the ceremonial law of the Old Testament. We should start there to understand more fully how it should look today and what it signifies. Several examples of baptisms are discussed from the Old and New Testaments where everyone in the house was baptised upon the faith and repentance of the head of house. There is no example in scripture of a child from a believing family later coming to faith before being baptised.
