A Rose Between Two Thorns

Once again, we see comparisons and contrast in the book of 1 Samuel. All Samuel's life, he demonstrated what God requires of man. Now Samuel dies and we see a stark contrast between him and Nabal and also between Nabal and Abigail.

Our response reveals our hearts. We see this in both David and Abigail. A true Christian will correct his faults when they are shown to him. We are exhorted to remember the way to happiness is the Lord's way.
