Gospel in the Old Testament Part 19 - Tree Made Bitter Waters Sweet

When the Lord led the sons of Israel to the place called Mara they found the water was bitter and undrinkable. Just a short time before they had been praising God for His deliverance of them when He destroyed the army of Pharaoh, when he came out to bring them back into bondage. But they quickly have turned against Him and are grumbling. God delivers them by showing Moses a tree which he certainly cut down and threw into the bitter water which then became sweet. So our Lord gave His live so that in every way He would be the only one who makes the bitter sweet for us by saving us and by enabling us to run with endurance the race He has set before us.
