A Prayer for Spiritual Strength

With such a view of glory, Paul, the prisoner, preacher, and persevering saint of Christ, bows his knees again and petitions the Lord on behalf of the church to have the spiritual strength to carry out the vision that He has for the local church. A. T. Robertson, the Greek Scholar, says, “Nowhere does Paul sound such depths of spiritual emotion or rise to such heights of spiritual passion as here. The whole seems to be coloured with ‘the riches of His glory.’” This is a prayer for empowerment.
