The Mosaic Covenant plays an important role in knowing where we are in the Bible. Of utmost important is Galatians 4:4 and how that factors into the life of Jesus who was indeed "born of a woman, born under the Law [that is, under the Mosaic Covenant]" It helps explains not only how and why Jesus lived his life, but that the Mosaic Covenant ended at the death of Jesus--not His birth--and this is highly significant.
