Life and Death, Blessing and Cursing

If you've been a pastor or a parent or a teacher for any time at all, then you will be familiar with the difficulty of convincing someone that their future happiness and well-being depends on their current choices. If people really believed the direct cause and effect relationship between choices and consequences applied to them we wouldn't need warning labels on cigarette packs.

Moses is counseling the people to CHOOSE LIFE and not Death, BLESSINGS and not cursing by loving and obeying the Lord when they enter the promised land - sadly he also knows his warnings won't be heeded.

How then can an unfaithful, covenant breaking people who choose death and cursing be saved?
