Bread From Heaven

The same God who created your will, your heart, your minds, takes in the drawing, in the efficacious work of His Spirit in you. He takes your bent will, your corrupt heart, your evil mind, and as we've read in Jeremiah 31, creates them anew. straightens out that heart, takes that evil heart away and gives you a heart of flesh. The word draw literally means to be, to draw by inward power, to lead, to impel. And what a glorious truth, what a glorious truth to consider as Owen mentions in volume two on Communion with the Triune God. It will do your soul much good to meditate on the cords of love that the Father has drawn you with. Meditate on that. The Father loves you. Why? Because he set his love on you.
