Nothing Else Is Enough…
Why?
It's Enough — For A Disciple — to Be Like the Teacher.
Jesus Christ, the Redeemer, Savior, Master, Lord, Teacher, Came to Make Disciples
The teaching emphasizes the central role of discipleship in Jesus's ministry, asserting that true followers are defined not by mere affiliation with a church, but by a commitment to emulate their teacher's character and teachings. Drawing from Matthew 10 and Luke 6, the message highlights the importance of willingly embracing instruction, enduring persecution, and actively seeking to understand and apply God's word, ultimately leading to a life of purpose and obedience, where the disciple's identity is rooted in following Christ rather than simply identifying as Christian.
A Teaching from Matthew 10, Luke 6, Matthew 28, and Hebrews
To Him be the glory! We have the greatest news, the greatest message, and the greatest mission of all time — to proclaim and participate in the work of Jesus, who came not only to save but to disciple. He didn't just come to clean us up — He came to call us out and draw us in to a new life, where it is enough to be like the Teacher.
I. Jesus Came to Make Disciples
"A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master. It is enough for a disciple that he be like his teacher…"
— Matthew 10:24–25
A. The Foundation of Followship
Jesus came to deliver us — from something to something. He doesn't just remove sin. He reorients our lives, minds, and desires. That "something" is Himself. He delivers us to follow Him — to walk in His steps and learn His ways. We are not left in limbo after conversion. Conversion leads to followship.
