The Ministry of the Two Witnesses

God gives power to two witnesses in a great and mighty way. Their testimony is the message of God to the nation of Israel and the world. A major part of their ministry is foretelling events to come as concerns the judgment of God. Included is the call of Israel to repentance.

Their ministry seems to take place during the last half of the seven year Tribulation period. It is carried out with supernatural powers as had been foreshadowed by the Old Testament prophetic ministries.

God expects His people in the Church today to hear, know, and heed the whole of the revelation given to John. This makes understanding the Old Testament a necessity if one is to be a student of the Word.

Conclusions from this study include:

1. In the context of wrath of Gentiles on Israel, God raises up two witnesses to give out the message of life.
2. In God's wrath the message of mercy is still made available.
3. God is at work in believers, enabling and empowering us to be witnesses as lights to the world with the same message of life.
