Gospel Presented in the OT Part 18 - Noah's Ark

According to the Spirit's revelation through the Apostle Peter, Noah's ark is a picture of the provision of Jesus Christ as our savior. Just as God planned the ark for the salvation of Noah and his family, so the Father planned our salvation from His wrath by sending His Son to die on our behalf. As Noah and his family were safe in the ark, so once we trust in Christ and are born again, we are safe in Christ. Through the Baptism of the Holy Spirit we are taken out of Adam and placed forever in Christ where we are safe from the wrath of God which we so rightfully deserve. As the great hymn pleads, so God has done, “Rock of ages cleft for me, let me hide myself in Thee”. Truly this is what God has done by hiding us forever in the only safe place, in Jesus Christ.
