Against Assyria

As an assurance of God's dealing in judgment on Babylon, God tells of upcoming judgment on Assyria, who was a much more imminent threat to Judah. The prophecy came to pass down to the smallest detail.

So what? That was 2700+ years ago and an ocean away! This is what -- God is still the same. Though He may use the ungodly to discipline His people, they shall not prevail. No matter their strength, power, wealth, or cleverness, King Jesus shall smash them with His iron sceptre. They shall be like clay flowerpots smacked by a rod of rebar!
