1. We need to be wise

Ministry School 2008: There is wisdom for the mature (1 Cor. 2:6), but that maturity is of a moral and not of an intellectual or philosophical dimension. As such, this wisdom is a gift by which the purposes of God for all the saints may be known (Eph. 1:15ff). Thus we must ask for wisdom (James 1:4-5). Not to ask for wisdom when it is so freely given is to be particularly foolish, and the consequences in our ministries and in the life and witness of the church must be faced and doubtless experienced.
